The President's Shot.

Hello,

As decided at our December membership meeting, we’re starting to get into the 21st century with our newsletter distribution.   By offering to send the newsletter to your e-mail box and post it on our website, you’ll get breaking news earlier, and with extra potential photo content.   It will also save us printing and postage worth a few nice 3D animals for our zoo each year.   We will continue to print extra paper copies for the club countertop.

You’ll receive both postal and email versions for the next three months, so you can try it out.   If you decide that you’d rather continue receiving the postal version, you’ll need to contact membership secretary Linda Redden at 763-434-2263.   This is an opt-in choice.   If you don’t receive the first e-mail by the end of February, please contact Linda to make sure we have your correct e-mail address on file.   Thanks for participating in our experiment!

As we’re getting lots of indoor open shoot participation, the bales are experiencing a shorter useful life.   One method we use to keep an eye on this is to have all shooters (members and non-members, open shoot and league) sign in to the log binder.   This helps us discuss bale replacement costs with Anoka County Parks.   Please remember to sign in, and remind others to do the same.

Nominations remain open for club officers (president, vice president, secretary, treasurer) and five board members.   If you’re curious about what’s involved in steering the club, contact any of the current officeholders.   It’s a great way to get involved!

Shoot straight, early and often,

Jim Williams
